Karan Srivastava, MD

Dr. Karan Srivastava is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in general orthopedics, anterior hip replacement, and partial and total knee replacement. He is the founder of the Joint and Bone Institute of California.

Karan grew up in the north-east part of Bakersfield, California. He graduated from Garces Memorial High School in 2006. He decided to study biology and chemistry at the University of Miami, in which he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He continued his medical school education at the University of Miami and was selected as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society (an honor given to the top 15% of a medical school class).

Dr. Srivastava was selected to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Health System in Michigan. Following his training in general orthopedics and orthopedic trauma, Dr. Srivastava decided to obtain additional training in anterior hip replacement and robotic total joint replacement at the Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. Srivastava decided to return back to his hometown to establish an orthopedic center that aligns with his philosophy.

In his free time, Karan enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He enjoys cooking and checking out new places (especially along the California coast-line). He is an avid sports fan (football, baseball, and basketball).

Talitha Popoy (Practice Manager)

Talitha popoy previously worked as a Medical Assistant at California Retina Consultants. As an ophthalmic technician, Talitha worked along side doctors to help patients with their eye needs. From scheduling to follow ups and other small tasks around the practice.

Talitha grew up in the small town of Delano and attended Delano High School. With her desire and dedication to help others she took a job assisting special needs adults at the DADD in Delano. This pushed her to further her education and begin her journey at UEI with a future career as a Medical Assistant. With the completion of her program, she took on an internship at Pacific orthopedic Medical group.

Talitha has since taken on a new job offer and new position as a practice manager at the Joint and Bone Institute of California.
